Roman Quinn was born in Port St. Joe, Florida. His families were from a small, rural coast town and were associated with track and field, baseball, and gridiron football.

In a 2013 class-A South Atlantic League, he was hit by a pitch that left Quinn with a hairline fracture on his right wrist, and he missed the remainder of the season.

Mishaps didn’t stop here; after the 2013 season, he tore his right Achilles tendon during a workout. However, he managed 5th best prospect in Philly’s minor league system.

Moreover, Quinn played for the Clearwater Threshers of the class A-advanced Florida state league in 2014. Unfortunately, he again missed the first six weeks due to injury.

Likewise, Roman began 2018 playing for Lehigh Valley. But in late May, he suffered a torn ligament in his right middle finger while diving into the base.

He had surgery and was out for two months. Then, in April, he was named second best speed of all minor league players.

After suffering an oblique strain during training, he returned to the team in 2019. Then, with a game against Chicago White, he made history.
